“I contacted HGCF following a training session for Senco’s. From the first point of contact Julie and Andy were professional and prompt. It could not have been easier to organise. Once the sessions were arranged all the relevant risk assessments were shared with school Julie and Andy had 10 children in the session- chosen for a variety of SEN and social needs. These ranged from reception age to Y5. Pre and post assessments indicated a marked increase in the self –esteem of the children involved in the sessions. Observations by our staff noticed improved social interactions between the children, they were independently helping each other, longer periods of focus and concentration were observed, they asked questions of Julie and Andy and treated the animals with care and consideration.
Julie and Andy listened to the children’s interests and brought out particular animals the children wanted to learn about and meet. The memories those children will have of their sessions will last a very long time and the impact of HGCF involvement with the children has been significant and I’m sure long lasting. I would thoroughly recommend them to any other setting for therapeutic support. ”
